Profile

Street Dixon Rick architectural and design expertise extends from residential projects to educational, religious and commercial, both for large and small-scale projects and for private and public clients. We have completed more than 300 educational projects for 30 different schools and universities, 100+ religious projects, over two dozen master planning projects and several LEED certified projects. Our clients consistently endorse our work—to us, success has as much to do with the designs we create as the lasting relationships we build.

Armed with expertise and open-mindedness, we approach each project collaboratively, engaging in a process that weaves architect, client, and consultant together to develop designs that exceed expectations. We believe the best results come as we uphold our motto:  LISTEN. COLLABORATE. CREATE.

History

In 1954, Robert Street opened his architecture practice in Nashville. His brother, Ed, joined him six years later. For more than thirty years, Street and Street enjoyed work—from contemporary to traditional and from residential to collegiate—and quickly established an expertise in campus planning and religious projects.

In 1990, after seven years with the firm, the Streets invited E. Baird Dixon to become a partner. Four years later, Street Dixon Street merged with Stephen Rick’s firm to form Street Dixon Rick Architecture, PLC.

The firm has received numerous awards and other recognition for its design excellence. Throughout its broad history, Street Dixon Rick Architecture has cultivated a reputation for quality of design, attention to detail, and the highest levels of client service.
