Harding Academy, located in Nashville, Tennessee, expanded its campus with a new middle school building to replace an existing facility that no longer met the needs of its curriculum. The new building was master planned to craftily sit on the school’s existing, very tight campus which is located amidst an established residential neighborhood.
- Addition of a two-story middle school building with 21,300 square feet of classrooms, administrative offices, bookstore, and science lab with a dedicated science patio space for outdoor experiments.
- 3,000 square foot addition to the Fine Arts Building included dedicated band and chorus rooms, each specially designed to have acoustic, sound proofed walls, instrument and costume storage and both private practice and multi-use spaces.
“Thanks to the work of Street Dixon Rick, our projects reflect the unique mission of our school, while also keeping the student-teacher relationship as the core value of their intention.” -Ian Craig, Harding Academy Headmaster
