In a few weeks, five new residence halls in The
Commons, Vanderbilt's new living-learning community, will welcome first-year
students for the first time.
The Commons is comprised of 10
residence halls, five new and five renovated; one dining center called The
Commons Center; and a residence for the Dean of The Commons. Street Dixon Rick
Architecture provided the Master Plan for The Commons and the designs for the
five new residence halls, called Stambaugh House, Crawford House, Murray House,
Sutherland House and Hank Ingram House.
