Philosophy

At Street Dixon Rick,

We believe architecture involves doing whatever it takes to help a client understand their project better.

We realize good design comes from disciplined dialogue with our clients, utilizing both verbal and graphic tools, to bring the ideas out of their minds and into ours.

We know day-to-day business includes maintaining the excitement and enthusiasm of the client’s original vision while working with a myriad of trades to transform this vision into built form.

We feel our success resides not only in the designs we create, but also in the lasting relationships that we form with our clients.

Good design takes time and commitment, thought and ambition, and a constant open mind and ear to make a list of functions take physical form. The process weaves between architect, client, and consultant, but keeps at its core the desire to create a living piece of a community that functions as a defined space for the present and far into the future.

We aspire as architects of good design to use our experience, history, talent, and ambition to create timeless structures. Our clients create the sparks that begin the process of design. The architect becomes the translator, and the product is a building that has at its inception the heart and soul of both the user and the designer.
