Winter, 2007
  • The Hortense Bigelow Ingram Upper School at The Harpeth Hall School was formally dedicated and opened to the students on January 23, 2007. The project fully renovated the Louise Bullard Wallace Center for the Humanities, a three-story classroom building, and reconstructed the main circulation corridor that connects the three Upper School buildings and houses student services, now referred to as the Ella Petway and George N. Bullard Student Services Hall.
  • Second Presbyterian Church held its first services in the new sanctuary December 3, 2006. In addition to the new sanctuary, a new fellowship hall, youth spaces, and children's classrooms were built to replace space destroyed by fire in September 2003.
  • Principal Baird Dixon led an adult Sunday school class in January describing the influence of reformed worship principles on the design of the new facilities at Second Presbyterian Church.
  • Principal Baird Dixon led a panel discussion outlining green building practices at the Vanderbilt University Commons to the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the US Green Building Council on January 25, 2007.
  • Street Dixon Rick installed new photovoltaic panels on the roof of our office building in January 2007. SDR is the first business in Nashville to utilize a grant program offered by the state of Tennessee.
  • The Session of First Presbyterian Church Nashville recently voted to authorize a $20 million project to upgrade and expand their facility. SDR is in the early stages of schematic design for a new nursery and administrative wing, as well as a new enrichment center.
  • Street Dixon Rick presently has two projects in design for Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA: a new music building and renovations and additions to historic Founders Hall.
  • Principal Steve Rick attended the US Green Building Council conference held in Denver in November 2006.
  • SDR has been retained as a design consultant for a proposed performing arts center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
  • Two SDR designed daycare projects for Vanderbilt University are currently under construction.
